Argentina

This country isn't a memory, it's home: the smell of asado on a Sunday, a stranger who becomes a friend over mate, the mountains and the sea both somehow mine. I don't visit Argentina, I return to it — again and again, in every other place I go.

Costa Rica

It took me all of two days to understand what 'pura vida' really means — not a phrase, but a whole way of moving through the world, slower and lighter than I knew how to be. I came looking for rainforest and left with a rhythm I still haven't fully let go of.

Guatemala

A volcano smoking quietly above a colonial city taught me something about living alongside things you can't control — you just build your life in the shadow of them and keep going. I left with ash on my boots and a strange kind of calm I didn't expect.

Italy

I reached a ridge here right as the light was giving up for the day, and stood there a while longer than I needed to, just to hold onto it. Italy gave me that — moments too good to rush, even alone on a mountain with no one to share them with.

Peru

This is the country that made me walk uphill for days just to watch the sun rise over stones someone else stacked centuries before I was born — and somehow it felt worth every step. I came back different, and a little more tired, in the best way.

Spain

I walked into mountain villages here that time seemed to have forgotten on purpose, stone houses and grazing cattle and nowhere in particular to be. It wasn't the Spain of postcards — it was quieter, older, and somehow more mine because of it.
